Is the pronto practice site supposed to show up in the pronto conversations after we join the course?

Shelli, yes, it should be an option for you to select within the Pronto interface, either on the web or the app.

That's really neat; I wasn't aware of the language options/support.

I found pronto, but my spring class is not there, just the NCESL Dept. and my courses from last semester.

@Crystal there is a lag between publishing and having it show up in Pronto, so if you just did that in the last few hours, you won’t see it show up until sometime in the next 24 hours or so - this is what Lauren’s talking about right now :-)

Question: is there a short how-to video for students? Or do you just demo in class like you are doing now?

I also want to call out that to set up notification preferences as well as language preferences, you will go to the settings cog in your pronto drawer on the left hand side of the screen.

@Lauren, Pronto custom-created groups last forever, right? So if there are some real connections created via a class using Pronto, someone could create a group to allow that to continue, correct?

Correct, they would be able to have those connections continue from those groups!

If there were ever a need to disable groups though, you can also request that through us 🙂

Leslie, yes, to use Pronto on a mobile device, you must use the Pronto app.

Ingrid - In order to create their initial user in Pronto they would have to be a student, but after that, it will last as long as they can use their student email to log in!

Also with Pronto, you can request transcripts from us at any time if there were a need to address something like that. You will have a complete record available to you even if someone were to delete a message, we can still pull it if ever necessary!

We don’t have that happen often at all, but nice to know as a safety net

Dawn, yes! You’ll need to be out of student view for yourself in order to show where it is.

The students do see it. It just doesn’t work for instructors using Student View
