I have a question regarding transferring announcements from previous semester. Is there a way to mute them till you are r eady for them?

I did give out my cell over my summer class and said it was to be used ONLY if they want to talk to me; otherwise, CANVAS inbox. I will do this again, but will add times. Like 8 am -8 pm. I had a couple of students text me after midnight, believe it or not.

Is there a way to have announcements sent as a text? I’ve noticed that students don’t really look at their email.

Gabriela, students can set up their personal notifications to receive Canvas updates as texts or push notifications

Maha, no, you can’t have past courses appear on the dashboard - you have to click Courses and then All Courses to see past courses. Maybe it’s easier to just bookmark the old course/save the link somewhere for yourself?
